Get started
Before you switch from an iPhone® device to your Pixel device, make sure you have the following items:
Your fully charged iPhone® device on a recent version of iOS software
The charging cable from your former iPhone® device
Your new, fully charged Pixel Fold
The Quick Switch Adapter that came with your Pixel Fold
A good Wi-Fi connection
The SIM Card tool that came with your Pixel Fold
Important: A Google Account is recommended. Otherwise, you can’t download apps, and some content won't copy to your new device.
Prepare your iPhone

While your SIM card is still in your iPhone device, go to Settings > Messages > Turn off iMessage.
Do the same for FaceTime. Go to Settings > FaceTime > Turn off FaceTime.
Important: If you no longer have your iPhone or SIM card, follow the steps from Apple to deregister your phone number from iMessage.
Prepare your Pixel Fold

Unfold your Pixel Fold and turn it on. Then, choose your language and tap Get started.
Connect to a Wi-Fi or mobile network.
If you have a SIM card, insert it now.
If you wish to use an eSIM, tap Download a new eSIM.
To continue setup without a SIM, tap Skip. You can always insert or download a SIM later.
Connect your devices

Tap Next. Unlock your iPhone® device. Then, on your Pixel Fold, tap Next.
When you find your old device’s cable, tap Next.
Plug the old cable into the old device. Then, on your Pixel Fold, tap Next.
Tip
Don't have a cable? Tap No cable? to transfer your data wirelessly. Use the Switch to Android app by scanning the QR code during the setup and downloading the app. Wireless transfer does not support as many data types, so use the cable when available.
Plug the other end of the cable that came with your iPhone® device into your Pixel Fold.
Your devices are now connected. To continue, tap Next.
Tip
Plug the other end of your iPhone cable into your Pixel Fold, using the Quick Switch Adapter if necessary.
Copy your data

On your Pixel Fold, enter your Google Account password. Then, tap Next.
If you don’t wish to transfer all the data categories, uncheck their boxes. Then, tap Copy. Then, tap Continue.
You can transfer:
- Contacts
